Silhouette Receives Regulatory Approvals Enabling Sales in Australia and Canada

ARANZ Medical Limited, a leading innovator in wound assessment technology, announces that its ARANZ Medical SilhouetteTM product suite has recently received both Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and Canadian Ministry of Health approval. With these certifications, ARANZ Medical is now able to market Silhouette, an efficient solution for collection of wound data, within both Australia and Canada.
The ARANZ Medical Silhouette product suite represents a significant advance in the management of patients with skin wounds. With the ageing population and rising prevalence of diabetes the incidence of wounds is increasing. As opposed to the largely ad hoc methods that have been used to track wound healing progress to date, Silhouette provides a very efficient, integrated, non-contact, and repeatable solution for collecting information about wounds.
Australian and Canadian approval adds to the already received FDA approval and CE Marking allowing Silhouette to be sold in many countries, particularly the US, Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Silhouette has successfully been trialed in Australia. The Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS) in Melbourne is a site for a current Proof of Concept trial of the Silhouette suite in a District and Home Care nursing environment.
